Summer in Kraków (Poland)

I spent this July in Kraków, attending a Polish language summer school at Jagiellonian University, the oldest university in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. Apart from the language program, I also participated in classes on Polish culture and literature, which turned out to be truly amazing and fascinating. Throughout all the classes, Polish was exclusively used as the teaching language, allowing me to make significant improvements in my Polish language skills. I am sincerely grateful to all the teachers and staff members at the School of Polish Language at Jagiellonian University for their professionalism and dedication.

While in Poland, I received the results of a peer review of one of my articles. The reviews were mostly positive, with a few requests for minor revisions, which I successfully addressed. The article explores student teachers’ perspectives on the reception of newly arrived immigrant schoolchildren in Iceland. I am excited to share it with you as soon as it gets published, hopefully this autumn.
