Projektet er et komparativt studie, der involverer lærerstuderende fra tre nordiske lande: Danmark, Island og Norge. Formålet med forskningsprojektet er at udvikle viden om lærerstuderendes forståelse af multikulturel pædagogik og analysere, hvor godt de er forberedte til at arbejde med flerkulturelle elever efter endt uddannelse. Desuden er det vigtigt at finde ud af, om lærerstuderende betragter multikulturel pædagogik som et funktionelt værktøj til god undervisningspraksis, eller om de betragter det som en utopi, der næsten er umuligt at iværksætte.
