Prosjektet er en komparativ studie som involverer lærerstudenter fra tre nordiske land: Norge, Danmark og Island. Formålet med forskningsprosjektet er å utvikle kunnskap om lærerstudentenes forståelse av flerkulturell pedagogikk og å analysere hvor godt de er forberedte på å arbeide med flerkulturelle elever i fremtiden. Dessuten er det viktig å finne ut om lærerstudentene betrakter flerkulturell pedagogikk som et funksjonelt verktøy til god undervisningspraksis, eller om de anser det som en utopi, som nesten er umulig å iverksette.
